If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen this picture that I posted back in October.
At the time I said that I finished it and would reveal the color on my blog soon.
So, a month and a half later, I am finally posting it. Pathetic.
I am so sorry about the long time it's taken. My kids have had colds nonstop and it's kicking my butt.
Seriously, you don't even wanna know when the last time I sewed was. Boo.
Anyway, here is the pic I posted to FB:
(Warning: what follows is a bunch of painfully awkward head shots of yours truly to try to show off the cowl. Unfortunately my ugly mug had to be in each one of them. Please bear with me.)
The color is:
I love green, it so soothing and earthy. Maybe not this particular green, but this was excess yarn from another project and it has this amazing sheen to it and is sooo soft. I wanted to try and see if the cowl pattern I made up for my nephew's cowl would work nicely for adults.
The verdict: heck yes!
It can be worn folded in, and folded in twist for more coverage, or up to your nose, for those chilly winter days, or casual like just to make a white shirt pop:
I really like it. And what's more, I really enjoyed making it.
I've made several since I finished this one, in different yarn weights, and I have to say, I like it more the more I make it.
It's so good for the kids too; easy on, easy off. And keeps them warm. Here in Canada that's key.
Did I mention that I finally learned to knit in the round?
Yup, making a knitted cowl next, using angora wool. Yum. It is divine.
Thanks for stopping by :)
